Blazers Put Away Miami
posted: 12/06/2007 at 10:42 PM

Another big game from Brandon Roy, a double-double from LaMarcus Aldridge, and some big-time help off the bench. That's is the recipe for a Trail Blazers win, as we've talked about time and time again. Against the Heat on Thursday night, the Blazers got 25 from Roy, 14 and 10 from Aldridge, and off the bench got 20 from Travis Outlaw, and 14 from James Jones. Miami, rested, hungry, and desperate for a win, and couldn't finish their comeback in the final minutes, and fell to the Blazers 112-106.
One negative, before getting back to all the positives. Because we didn't broadcast this game, I was able to watch TNT's studio show immediately following this game. The first words out of Ernie Johnson's mouth, at the top of the show, were "the Blazers have won consecutive games for the first time this season." Laughter followed, and Charles Barkley was chuckling saying, "that's not a winning streak." I love E.J. and love the job these guys do, but seriously, someone get the facts. Not many teams in the NBA so far this season have won four straight like the Blazers have. And, those wins came over New Orleans, Memphis, Dallas, and Detroit. That's not enough to take any joy away from this win, but was extremely disappointing to hear.
Okay, back to the game.
How good has Outlaw been in the last two games. It's always been about confidence, consistency, and agressiveness with Travis, and he's taken his game to a new level in these last two. He rode the momentum from the last-second shot at Memphis, and was 9 for 17 against Miami. He also had 7 rebounds. We've talked of the importance of this team finding a third scorer, and he's been it lately.
The biggest play of the game for Outlaw came with 1:56 to go. He went baseline, and instead of pulling up and shooting a short jumper, went to the rim and hammered down a dunk on Daequan Cook, drawing a foul in the process. He made the free throw and that put Portland up 100 to 90.
Speaking of huge plays in this game, just as Miami appeared ready to claim its first lead of the second half, trailing 88-87, with 5:40 left, Steve Blake buried a huge three pointer deep in the right corner for Portland. Blake had 12 points, 5 assists, and just on turnover.
Speaking of third scorers, and the play of the bench, James Jones picked up right where he left off from the Memphis game as well. He's now hit 8 of his last 10 three-point shots, and scored all of his 14 points in the second quarter, when Portland took control, outscoring the Heat 26-17. Is it any coincidence that in these last two games the Blazers have scored 106, and 112 points, with Jones getting big minutes? Until Martell Webster finds his shot again, and he will, I'd continue putting Jones at the small foward spot.
The Blazers shot 51 percent for the game, were 7 for 17 from behind the three-point line, and had 25 assists and only 10 turnovers. This team played with confidence, got out and pushed the tempo, and made open shots. Pretty simple when you look at it like that. And, it's a great way to begin this stretch of 10 home games in the next 12.
For the Heat, Dwyane Wade had 21, but was just 9 for 26 from the field. Shaquille O'Neal had just 8 points, and found himself on the bench in foul trouble during the second half. He played only 21 minutes.
It will be interesting to see what the NBA does about Shaq's hit on Joel Przybilla during the first minute of the game. The replay is pretty clear. After Przybilla drew an offensive foul on Shaq, O'Neal took the ball and, with both hands, slammed it against Joel's head. Przybilla's head slammed back on to the floor and he stayed down for several minutes. Portland trainer Jay Jensen, and team doctors Tom Reis and Don Roberts were summoned to the court. It appeared Joel had suffered at least a concussion. He left the court, but then returned to the game in the second quarter. Accidents happen during games, but you're crazy if you think this was an accident. The replay shown to the Rose Garden crowd sent the fans into a frenzy, and TNT's replay was just as clear. I don't blame the officials for not taking immediate action, because it happened so fast. This, however, is deserving of a suspention. I'll be shocked if some action isn't taken.

Nate McMillan joined Brian Wheeler and Antonio Harvey after the game. To hear his comments,
The Blazers have now won back-to-back games (for the second time) and look to make it three straight on Sunday when they host the Milwaukee Bucks. The start time for that game is 3pm. All of the Sunday home games will start at 3 o'clock pacific, in response to repeated requests from fans. That game is also expected to be a sellout.
MB,
I heard that too. He said the Blazers got their first winning streak of the season. I couldn't believe it. We won four in a row at home early in the season. I'm also surprise no one corrected him.
That was such a obvious intentional hit by Shaq he should have been kicked out of the game and he better be suspended! This better not be like the Josh Howard hit where nothing was done. I couldn't believe it when I seen it! I was arguing with another Blazers fan about it and he said what could he do? He could have just fell to the side or fall on him, there was no reason to use the ball to hit him in the head to cushion his fall. That deserves a fine and suspension.
It was so nice to be able to watch two games in a row. See I'm not being selfish wanting to watch every game. I can't influence the games as much if I can't see them. :)
Sergio came in and did well, but then as Nate has said in the past, after a bit he started to get a little wild and turn the ball over.
What can you say about James? He's certainly has earn his moneny the last couple games. I hope he can be this consistent all season.
TO has played so well since he got hit. He's taking it to the basket a lot more which just opens up the rest of his game.
Roy and LMA are leading the way as they should.
Hopefully, as you said, Webster will find his stroke soon.
Joel is playing really well too. Against a team like the Heat we really needed him and he came through.
Great game!
GO BLAZERS!!!
Way to go blazers, this is exactly how they need to play. The best about this game was that the blazers kept their cool when the Heat made their run late in the game. Unlike the game in Philadelphia, the blazers didn't give up and let the game go, they kept competing and took a game they deserved. I think it may be safe to say Roy is out of his slump, and lets hope outlaw and jones can produce like that off the bench every night. Also Shaq's low blow at the thrilla was disgusting. Shaq needs to realize his days are done. He has four rings and is a future hall of famer, its time to go home Shaq, you have nothing left to prove.
WOOOOOOO Trailblazers win!!!! This was an awesome game despite the slights from national TV, including ESPN (Haslem's dunk in the top ten????) and TNT. This may have been the most complete game the Blazers have played this year. I love Travis Outlaw's play of late and am happy to see that Brandon has really come out of his slump. Of the two stars in this game, the Natural certainly came out on top over Dwayne Wade. His behind the back dribble drive around Wade was the top play of the night - closely followed by Alridge's early dunk and Outlaw's 'and one' dunk late in the game.
I was VERY disheartened to hear the TNT broadcasters say that this was our first win streak this season. So much so that I immediately sent an email to at least let them know how wrong they were. (my husband asked me to post the email I sent them :-)so here it is!!)
Hello TNT,
Your NBA on TNT broadcasters mentioned several times that the Portland Trailblazer's win over the Miami Heat tonight marked the first time they have won consecutive games this season.
That is absolutely NOT TRUE! In November, the Blazers won FOUR straight games:
N.O. Hornets on 11/7
Memphis Grizzles on 11/9
Dallas Maverics on 11/10
Detriot Pistons on 11/13
Please correct this HUGE erroneous mistake. Your broadcasters should be smarter than that!
Sincerely,
Monica Bates
Even though it's tough for us to get love from the national media, I'm glad that we showed how well we can play today in a national spotlight. As Tom Brady said today - Well played is better than well said.
Well said? Tell TNT. I'm just glad the Blazer's play spoke for them when no one else would.
Nice W tonight. Great job particularly in the 2nd quarter and then in the 5 minute stretch starting with Blake's 3 and ending with Outlaw's monster jam.
Mike, why is it that young teams struggle to play with big leads? The Blazers can never seem to turn a 15 point lead into 25- instead it always gets cut to 5. Is it just inconsistency- inability to put two great halves together? Is it complacency? Is it nerves? A combination?
I was annoyed at the TNT mistake also. Doug Collins had even discussed the 4 game win streak during the broadcast. It was an honest mistake by EJ but what got me was that it wasn't corrected and EJ mentioned it a 2nd time!
Doug Collins, in general, was very complementary toward the Blazers and especially had nice things to say about Roy. He also gave lots of credit to Outlaw.
the only downside to this game was webster was completely absent. no rebounds, no assists, only 4 points on 2-6 shooting. i really really really want to see this guy do well. i feel his confidence is down and isnt looking for his shot if he misses a few.
What a win. Man...before the game I was hoping we wouldn't embarrass ourselves, because the Heat sounded ready to put the smackdown on us. Turns out we won the game with balanced scoring all around. 112 points is a season high, with only two players scoring over 20. That's nice. Roy outplayed Wade tonight. Granted, Wade's still not right, but the move Wade pulled on Roy in the third was nasty. He's incredible and hopefully he can build from this. Feels good to play our best game of the season in the spotlight. I've watched a lot of TNT games over the past few years, and it's weird to see one in our building. It was a fun night, and a great win. This team has a lot of confidence right now. Part of me wants to believe that this is where we turn our season around and make a push for the playoffs, but I won't get too far ahead of myself. We've been teased like this before.
I was a bit disapointed in TNT tonight though. They got a few facts wrong and put the mircoscope more on the Heat than the Blazers. They made it seem like the Heat were playing that bad, and really didn't give the Blazers credit where it was due. But again, exciting game and I look forward to many more in the future. It's bright.
BTW, I'm really ticked. I've been waiting a long time for tis game, so I recorded on my DVD recorder and it turns out I hooked it up wrong, so when I tried to re-watch some of the highlights, static came up. DANG!
Very good sergio rodriguez!
he only played 11 minutes and get 4 points and 5 assists.
he will be important in the future.
Awesome Game last night. The Blazers came in with great energy. I was glad to see some production from Frye in the short amount of time he was out there. Outlaw with another solid performance. I must say though that I would love to see more Sergio in games, It was kinda fun to see him and J Will mixin it up for a few plays. And I'm tossing to see what type of impact McRoberts will make once he gets some playing time. The funniest part of the night was seeing Greg Oden's Lou Rawls hair do. Wow!
Another Note: It sucks to be on the east coast and see the specials you guys are throwing out for games. Wizards tickets are nowhere comparable and I refuse to waste the hour and a half drive to Philly to watch them lose. See you guys in January when you come back to Jersey!
Yes I caught that comment by E.J. and I was scratching my head. I swore those first four home wins were all consecutive. Something I saw which was an even bigger disgrace was if you watch the ESPN highlights of the game the guy calls Travis "Tracey Outlaw". These Blazers get no respect. I love how Collins actually scouts all players around the league. He noticed how Outlaws jumper went from unreliable to pretty good. He also said Brandon Roy is going to be great. I wish Portland would stop having to have an amazing play to get in a highlight reel. They show Dwyane Wade lay-ups over LaMarcus Aldridge jamming on the whole Heat team.
Great game. Lol at Oden saying he missed Amare's call.
Oh and as I read further in your blog I forgot to mention Shaw smashing the ball into Pryzbilla's face. This is 10 times worse than what Kobe did against the Spurs and Minnesota last year. I really want to see Wade and his team do good, but Shaq must be suspended. That was down right mean spirited what he did. There can be no place for things like that in the NBA.
I can't believe the mistake made by the guys in the TNT studio. That really pissed me off. I realize we are a young team and have struggled a little this season, but come on, we deserve a little respect. Not to mention the announcers spent the whole first half talking about only Miami, and the game itself was emphasized not as a win for the Blazers, but as a loss for Miami.
On a more positivie note though, it was great to be able to watch the Blazers play. I go to college in New York and it was great to see them play so well on national television. I'm really excited about this team, and can't wait to watch them play in person against Toronto when I come home for Christmas.
Keep making me proud, Blazers!
-Amelia
With James Jones hitting in the 2nd quarter and the Heat playing soft, the Blazers looked super. However, that 3rd quarter coma would have been fatal if it were any team other than the Heat; to play that weakly after establishing a 16 point lead is really damgerous. Blazers, the next time you have a team down, for heaven's sake, put them away! Drive it to the hoop every time and ram it down their throats. Positives: LaMarcus, in the 4th, took a soft, ineffectual outside jumper- but he then came back and muscled out a crucial rebound. Brandon- your instincts and focus were right on when you started taking it to the hole in the 4th. That's the way to close it out. Travis- again- you took it to them. They can't defend you when you're above them, serving up a slam in their face. Blake was again a smart, sure assassin when we needed him. Martell, you're play is still strong, even when the shot is not perfect. Keep driving it to the hoop to draw fouls. Joel- too bad that fat chicken ended up on top of you. Way to come back and man up. He looked like a has been. Sergio- the assists were a thing of beauty- a couple of times I thought you were cooked, but you managed to find your way through the maze. Lastly- the strong finish was just the way we would have scripted it. Thanks, guys.
You tell em Mike. I saw that too and was scratching my head thinking, Why would they say that! Bottom line is, we still don't get a lot of respect from them with the exception of Charlse Barkley. He seems to understand that we are young and improving. His words the other night the Blazers "just might be the most athletic team in the league" He seemed to think we would win that game. So don't get on them too hard. I know they are doing a job and trying to earn a living and have fun. Everyone makes mistakes and sometimes the mistakes get you more viewers. Who knows maybe it wasn't a mistake. They may be trying to get a rise out of us. In any event I think the game was a very good one for the Blazers and it is a W. Brandon is doing great and the team seems to be listening to Nate, and executing better than in the past. They are in line to step it up a level when there backs against the wall. Now they just need to learn to try not to get there back against the wall in the first place. We are young and improving at a consistant rate. Good Going Team.
Mike;
Great game, but again why doesn't the team believe in blow outs?
I have a question though. doing the fifth quarter show, a caller called in and asked the question, why didn't they put Jones in the game in the third qtr? The answer was " you don't change the rotation just because a player is hot, if you did the player would never know when to be ready to go in.
That to me is absurd. I think players are always ready to go in because you never know when an injury is going to occur or somebody gets in foul trouble. I have often wondered why they don't utilize a player that is hot, regardless of rather he is off the bench or not.
I thought in this case, that Jones is on limeted play because of his knee. Could you give some light on this?
hg
Whew, I was glad the Blazers were able to hold onto this one in the last quarter.
In regards to the TNT broadcast, Doug Collins was actually fairly enjoyable to listen to in his assesment of the game and of the rebuilding Blazers team.
On the other hand, EJ/Kenny/Charles, were so unprofessional in comparison. I don't recall at the half or much after the game, hardly any positive comments about the Blazers at all. They seemed so focused on the Miami, and Shaq/Wade... Very disappointing
Mike;
another comment on TNT broadcasting, at the beginning of the Broadcast they were annoucing that the heat and the the blazers was the second game then as they were going to commercialbreak, Barkley said "well watch it any way" for me that wiped out some of the good things that was said.
I caught all that other crap to.
They never once said that Portland played great. it was all about Miami playing bad. They also laberated on Wades 21 pts. but most of the pts came with uncontested dunks in the last few seconds of the game, wiping out the good play of Brandon keeping him contained.
Maybe we didn't have a Oden-shaq matchup, but I think if we did the results would have been bad for Miami. What do you suppose TNT would have said about that.
HG
MB, Can you find out if there is any news on Comcast sports net? Of the next 13 games, I will only be able to see 3 on TV. That is not right especially in Holidays when family all comes to town. The 1080 Fan radio had Comcast on a few weeks back and could not even ask one tough question. At this point you are the only one giving us updates. Thanks loves the blogs, hate comcast, I heard comcast denied 2 interviews with the Oregonian, I wonder why.
Since the Blazers are driving towards becoming a championship team, the Rose Garden needs to create an atmosphere of a championship arena, starting with the music. Some of the music is ok, but a lot of it does not do anything to pump up the crowd or the players. Next the Rose Garden needs a couple of improvements to make it appear to fans and other teams coming in that this is championship palace. If I were Paul Allen I would invest in having white lights placed around the parameter of the top of the Rose Garden and in the middle of the top of the Rose Garden a giant red rose. This would look awesome at night. 3rd..Championship teams deserve championship jerseys. Are there any chances of a new design of uniform? Thanks David
I agree with everyone. I was generally offended By the TNT crew. Before they came on I remember thinking, "I don't really like that crew" and wondering if the rest of the country finds Barkley as annoying as I do--talk about inarticulate. Then they came on, and what do you know, they sucked. I turned them off within seconds.
It was an exciting game to watch and we played some great stretches in each quarter. True it was a test between two lower echelon teams in the league, but the W is a W! At least no one is calling us the "lowly Trailblazers" anymore when they lose to us...
Mike,
I was at the game last night (Thanks Mom!!) and that was the most fun I've had at a Blazer game in my near 20 years of following the team. We ran the break, played spectacular help defense, moved the ball, and returned to traditional Rip City basketball at its finest.
Two observations:
1) Travis Outlaw was sensational. I mentioned before the game that when either him or Martell gets going it makes us extremely difficult to guard. Martell will turn things around but for now we should all relish in Outlaw's recent explosion off the bench.
2) Brandon Roy just took Dwayne Wade to school. I was thoroughly impressed. I know Wade is battling injuries but it was really Roy that dictated the pace and consisently broke his defender down. Sergio also did a fantastic job of penetrating Miami's porous defense to create opportunities for our shooters and big men. His court vision and PG instinct are truly uncanny--some of the best I've ever witnessed.
That Rose Garden is becoming a place of lore...let's keep making the opposition tremble with fear at the sight of red, black, and white!!!
MB,
I agree with you about TNT. I think this win will open some eyes. I hope Shaq gets a suspension for the fall. It looked like dirty play. Shaq has gone from one of the best centers, to just a bully.
I love to watch Roy play, he is soo smooth. He untied Wades shoes with a behind the back and to the rim move. Im feeling good about Outlaw and Jones. Poor Martel, he needs to find his game. With those two playing great ball, and miles starting practice, Martel may end up with little floor time.
Speaking of Miles, Im almost happy to hear hes 6 weeks away. That will give another tall scorer in the mix. January may be a exciting month, with Jones healthy, Miles in game, McRoberts healthy.
Great Win Blazers!
Regarding Shaq'a pile-driver move on Joel: I sent the following email to the NBA at their website:
"You may or may not have seen the tape from last night’s Portland-Miami game: Portland Center Joel Przybilla left in the first minute of the game after Shaquille O'Neal knocked him to the floor, then drove the ball into his face as he fell on him. No foul was called.
If you want to truly clean up the league, you might start with reforming the “star” system that lets high profile players get away with such behavior. Przybilla might have been seriously injured, and to allow O’Neal to move forward without consequences reinforces the conception that there are two sets of NBA standards: one for large-market, ad-revenue-generating personalities, and another for basketball players who still respect the game and its rules.
It makes me sick to see this happen, no matter who the perpetrator is. I look forward to your response. Thank you."
I'll be interested to see if they respond with more than a bland, non-committal form letter. If anyone else is interested, here's where the contact page is on the NBA site: http://www.nba.com/email_us/
MB, What do you think of James Jones starting? He seems to not only be an excellent shooter, but is also smart and productive without the ball. I love what Travis is giving the team now. The aggressiveness and confidence he showed last night is exactly what this team needs. I hope he can make that a consistant part of his game. I was also surprised at the 2 game streak comment. I thought that at least some one at the studio would correct him on a break, especially since the 4 game win streak was talked about by the game commentators earlier.
Mike;
this is to perrycallas.
I thank you for your information.
in response to your post I too wrote a letter to the NBA. hope it gets results
hg
What a great game to watch, too bad the TNT crew (Barkley,EJ,Kenny) weren't watching the same game because if they had, they would have given us the credit we deserved. I usually watch TNT on Thurs. nights because I love they're funny bantering but last night just made me so angry, especially at Barkley (who I love now that he's no longer playing), that I don't think I want to ever listen to them again. They're behavior and comments were just WRONG and UN-EXCEPTABLE!!! The only person who gave the Blazers any respect was Doug Collins. I wanted to comment to -perrycallas- about writing to the NBA--"don't hold your breath waiting for a response--I'm still waiting to hear from them about a complaint I made last year. Hate to tell you but I thing your e-mail to them got "iggy-d" (that's ignored!!) I think it's pretty sad that Shaq is getting so old that he has to resort to cheap shots during his time on the court. Time to hang up those big playing shoes, buddy!! Anyway, thanks Mike for being such a great commentator with MR. I sure missed you guys last night. GO BLAZERS
MB...
Just wanted to add that I am absolutely sickened by the lack of media attention the Blazers are getting after this win, and in general. The media is focusing more on the Heat struggles than the Blazers win. That's all the TNT crew could talk about throughout 80% of the game and in the studio. And in the ESPN highlights it showed the clip of "Tracy" Outlaw going in for the dunk over Cook. Who is that? Who is Tracy Outlaw? And Yahoo! sports has a picture of Bo Outlaw on Travis's profile. Do they even attempt to do some research before posting it on their sites/shows? It's completely unprofessional. And TNT saying it was our first winning streak of the season. Ernie said is so "matter-O-Factly" which was the annoying part, and the fact that it wasn't corrected after being mentioned about three times. It's the stat crews fault obviously, Ernie is just reading the notes. It would litterally take you about 20 seconds to find that stat out. I've always been a big fan of TNT NBA Thursdays, but last night was just sad and almost unreal. The media could care less about the Blazers. I wouldn't be suprised if they didn't even remember Oregon has a team. This team needs to go out and play hard every night and shock other teams and earn respect. Last night was a good step it seems, but no one seemed to give a damn.
Great team effort and game all around.
I'm glad Joel is ok.
Perry, thank you for the email address, I will add that to TNT and ESPN today, since they can't seem to get stats, or Travis' name or picture correctly.
Lets Go Blazers !!!
I read that most likely the guy was thinking about the Heat winning for the first time two games in a row since they haven't done it yet. They must have been pretty sure the Blazers would lose the game. :)
But come on, we've just won two games in a row after how many losses? I mean I'm encourage, but to complain about the lack of respect from the media, what do you expect? Wait until we've done a bit more. We got a lot of credit when we won those four straight games at home and if we do well this month at home I'm sure we'll get plenty of attention.
In the last two games we won our first road game in 10 tries and beat a bad Heat team at home. I'm hoping we'll put together a good winning streak at home and get our record around .500. and then we'll earn some respect.
GO BLAZERS!!
Great game for the fellas once again. They are a COMPLETELY different team when they have that confidence they need every night to win.
I saw the replays of the Shaq incident and call me crazy but I didn't think it was a "dirty play" at all. Sure, it was an unfortunate situation but let's be honest here.. Shaq isn't exactly 25 anymore and he's bigger than he was 10 years ago. It's not exactly the easiest thing to shift your weight as your falling in mid air when you weigh more than 250 pounds. He didn't have to use the basketball to cushion his fall of course, but it was in the heat of the moment kind of thing. The good thing is that Joel is okay. I'm sure we'll all get over what happened in a few days (Might have been a different story if Przy was more severely hurt).
I'm loving the play of James Jones off of the bench. I knew he was capable of dropping 3's but I never really got to watch him every game like I do now, I am very impressed. Travis has also impressed me these last few games.
If this whole team realizes they have the talent to beat almost any team in this league on any given night, the sky is the limit for them. They just have to keep their confidence and never hang their heads.
I agree that Outlaw has played extrememly well the last two games. However, i think his play has been building up for a while, now. It seems like every game his confidence is getting a little better, and he's really bringing the energy.
I didn't expect this play from Outlaw. I'm sure we're not completely done with the frustrating play he is famous for, but he is certainly playing like a guy who has begun to turn a new leaf. What's gotten into this kid, anyway? All of a sudden, he almost looks like he knows what he's doing. Anyway, i'm really happy for him.
i was reading an article that stated shaq repeatidly apologized to joel, and didnt mean for that to happen. if anything it was "in the heat of the moment" type of thing, but im not going to let him off the hook so easily. thats the second flagrent foul i've seen this year against the blazers where no action was taken.
I have two comments, GREAT JOB BLAZERS and how can we get kxl synced up with the game " in this case" so we dont have to listen to the poor comments of TNT and that COMPLETE IDIOT BARKLY?
What a great game on Thursday night! I don't usually like watching games on TNT because the commentators are annoying and it seemed like they only wanted to talk about how bad Miami is playing this season and not about what a great game Portland was playing.
On another note, I just wanted to say how awesome it is that the Blazers are going to be having a Disaster Relief Fund after the storm throughout the Oregon Coast. I live on the Oregon Coast where the hurricane force winds hit and it was disastrous. It means a lot to me and everyone else i'm sure that the Blazers are doing this and it makes me belive in them so much more then I already do! :)
Hey everyone! Travis is a great player. The coach is not pulling players as quickly as he did last year. To his credit he has allowed the young players more chances to prove what they know on the court. The team is studying and listening to the coach and coaching staff. The coaching staff must be mentioned in some of this. I like what they are doing. They have this team working together, and trusting one another. Martell is about to explode. I feel it. I see him building the corner stone of his drive to the basket (confidence and speed). Now that everyone is off Outlaws back watch what he does and Martell too. Most of all what I enjoyed this past week was the look on Outlaws face when he hit the game winning shot. The team cheered and Outlaw looked at the other team as if to say (YOU ARE UNDER ARREST). WHAT A GREAT PERSON HE IS. I MET THE MAN ONCE WHEN HE WAS IN THE LLOYD CENTER. HE WALKED PAST MY RECORDING STUDIO. I QUICKLY RAN OUT AND WAVED HIM IN. HE WAS VERY KIND AND SPOKE WITH A GENTLE HEART. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THIS YOUNG MAN CONTINUED IMPROVEMENT. I'M SIGNING OUT WITH THIS. (THE SHERIFF SPEAKS) I'M OUT!

Is this picture of Travis? More disrespect from espn for the real TO.
